MSB Library Media Center and Statewide Services
MSB Library Media Center
The Library Media Center (LMC) at the Missouri School for the Blind (MSB) is more than a place to check out books. While the LMC does indeed have more than 30,000 braille, talking books, large print and regular print books and magazines for loan, it also has Blu-Ray, DVDs, CDs, eBook readers, iPads, magnifiers and more. In addition, the LMC provides access to the latest in adaptive technology through its partnership with the Missouri Instructional Resource Center. The School Librarian teaches students about how to find and use the library’s textual and electronic materials. Most importantly, the LMC uses its resources to help fulfill MSB’s Mission: ensuring blind and visually impaired students statewide are able to empower themselves with the same social, academic, employment, and life skills as their sighted peers. It does this by providing students, staff, parents, professionals, and caregivers access to all of these and other vital information services. Please browse the MSB LMC’s site to learn more!
The LMC is located on the 2nd floor of the school building. It is open during regular school hours, 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, except for State and Federal holidays.
