The MSB Senior Beta club recently traveled to Branson for the Missouri State Beta Convention. While our school has always had strong participation in the various academic competitions at the Beta Convention, for only the third time in 15 years, our students chose to participate in the group talent competition.
Leading the charge was student James Rodgers who garnered the support from his classmates. Together, they created an outstanding percussion performance with materials found around the school. While everyone was impressed by their performance and expected them to do well at the competition, we were ecstatic when we found out that they won first place – defeating the school that has been the reigning champions of this event for the last 17 years! Now, our senior Betas will have the opportunity to travel to Nashville, TN in June to compete against all of the other state Beta champions at the National Beta convention. Way to go Betas!!This past July, our Senior Beta Club attended the 2015 National Beta Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
