Forensics
Forensics – High school age students can participate with students from other schools for the blind in 11 categories: Duo, Humorous Interpretation, Serious Interpretation, Prose Reading-Serious, Prose Reading-Humorous, Poetry Reading, Great Speeches, Four Minute, eight Minute, Impromptu and Open. A culminating competition is held each spring as part of the NCASB Conference; in 2010 Skily Smith won a gold medal for her performance of The Frog Who Wanted to be a Singer and Leticia Eckhoff took fourth place for her speech entitled Development in the 21st Century.
