Student Activities

  • Beta Club and Junior Beta Club are national student service organizations for high school and middle school age students, respectively.
  • Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are available to students and include opportunities for interaction with non-disabled peer clubs.
  • Track and Field meets are held each fall with competition against other schools for the blind in the midwest, culminating in the NCASB championship in late October. MSB hosts an annual triangular track and field meet on campus in September.
  • Goalball season takes place late fall-early winter with matches against other schools for the blind in the midwest, culminating in the NCASB championship meet in mid-November. MSB will host a goalball meet on campus in early November.
  • Wrestling features matches against other schools for the blind in the midwest and local public school wrestlers. MSB will host a home meet in December. The season culminates in the NCASB championship meet in late January.
  • Cheerleading season runs concurrently with wrestling and takes place each winter with matches against other schools for the blind in the midwest, culminating in the NCASB championship meet in late January.
  • Swimming season takes place each spring (concurrently with forensics) with meets with other schools for the blind in the midwest, culminating in the NCASB championship meet in April.
  • Forensics season takes place each spring (concurrently with swimming) with meets with other schools for the blind in the midwest, culminating in the NCASB championship meet in April.
  • Special Olympics/Intramural Sports offers a variety of athletic events for students, including track and field and bowling.
